An educator-facing IBonomics learning analytics report using quiz activity to identify student confidence, difficult question types, high-difficulty concepts, and targeted revision priorities for IB Economics.

Key findings

Across 726 reliable IB Economics questions and 44,850 attempts, students answered about 80% correctly overall.
Calculation questions were the weakest format and were associated with longer response times than conceptual, definition, diagram, and application questions.
The hardest concepts were mostly procedural or multi-step, including PED and PES formula application, VAT incidence, required reserve ratio, and import quota or world price changes.
Subtopic difficulty was highest in Elasticity of Supply, Supply-side Policies, and Economic Methodology.
Regression results did not show meaningful difficulty differences between the three main IB Economics areas.
